Sliding Gates can be made from steel or aluminium pickets, chainwire, colorbond or timber. In most cases our sliding gates run on a slide track which is bolted to concrete but we also supply sliding gates running on overhead track. With sliding gates you have the option of manual operation or automation.
Sliding gates are becoming more popular, particularly with the increase in the need for security and the reduction in cost of gate automation.
We make Steel, Aluminium, Timber and Colorbond sliding gates in our factory in Geebung.
Sliding gates that are installed outdoors slide on an aluminium track that is bolted onto concrete (eg the driveway).
Sliding gates installed indoors can also slide on the ground track, or slide on overhead track.
We use the BFT range of gate motors, which are made in Italy. These work very well, and are backed by a National gate hardware company, who is one of our main suppliers.
In most cases we organise an external electrician to carry out the installation of the gate motor.
In come cases, we opt for a solar powered unit, depending on the usage pattern and speed requirements of the gate.
Gate motors are available in different specs. For example, a motor that is suitable for domestic use, is not likely not going to be fast enough for a high volume commercial situation.
